Roboter beim RoboInkjet-Verfahren zur präzisen Bearbeitung oder Beschichtung eines Glasobjekts in der industriellen Fertigung

PROFACTOR focuses its research on two key areas.

Industrial assistance systems and additive micro- and nano-manufacturing are among the key technologies for competitive factories of the future. Thanks to our many years of experience in national and international research projects, we possess extensive scientific and technological expertise in both fields.

Industrial Automation Systems

PROFACTOR develops industrial automation systems for the smart factory. Cognitive assistance systems, robotics, and human-centered computing connect people and machines, artificial intelligence, and sensor technologies. Through Zero Defect Manufacturing and non-destructive inspection, we enhance quality, flexibility, and efficiency in high-variant production.

Additive Micro- and Nano-Manufacturing

PROFACTOR conducts research in additive micro- and nano-manufacturing: microstructuring and 3D printing at the micro- and nanoscale, combined with functionalized and structured surfaces. Nanoimprint lithography (UV-NIL) and multi-material inkjet technologies enable customized components, new functionalities, and digital process chains for industrial applications.
