By pressing a nanostructured stamp into a UV-curable polymer, functional surfaces can be fabricated with nanoscale precision. These structures are essential for applications in photonics, sensing, catalysis, and biotechnology.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the S&amp;R NIL project, PROFACTOR focuses on advancing scalable nanoimprint lithography for industrial applications, with a special<br\/>emphasis on <strong>seamless stitching, pattern fidelity,<\/strong> and <strong>process reliability<\/strong>. By further developing an existing UV nanoimprint system<br\/>and optimizing imprint strategies, the project enables <strong>high-precision structuring of large areas<\/strong>, which is crucial for functional surfaces<br\/>in <strong>optics, electronics, and sensing<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At <strong>PROFACTOR<\/strong>, located in Steyr, we are developing advanced NIL processes to enable new applications in micro- and nanofabrication.<br\/>This master thesis offers the opportunity to contribute to one of our current research projects and help shape the future of NIL-based<br\/>manufacturing in Austria and beyond.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Your Topics<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Optimization of an in-house developed Step and Repeat UV-NIL system<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Process development for fast and reliable replication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Material screening for imprinting and lift-off compatibility<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We are looking for<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Motivated students with a hands-on mentality and a background in:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Physics, nanotechnology, materials science, chemistry, or related fields<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest in micro-\/nanofabrication, photonics, or catalysis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Independent and solution-oriented working style<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We offer<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participation in cutting-edge R&amp;D projects with renowned industrial partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexible working hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The chance to be part of a young, interdisciplinary and cooperative team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Start\/ Duration<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now \/ 6 months<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Mission<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">PROFACTOR\u2019s research improves the competitiveness of European Industry.
