The aim of this international research project with six partners, is to create a high universal applicable construction site robot. Although the planned robot can be assembled from individual modules, it should be able to carry the heaviest loads. In addition to transporting components, it is also intended for usage in dangerous or unhealthy work. Examples include cutting or spraying on construction sites.

Technologically, state-of-the-art robot hardware and self-configurable software will be used to work robustly, safely and efficiently under unstructured working conditions. A special feature is the focus on collaborative robotics, i.e. the joint solving of tasks by humans and robots. The proof-of-concept will be shown on real construction sites.

PROFACTOR contributes with expertise in camera- and deep-learning-based human-machine interaction as well as in the field of optimal distribution of work tasks. Both pre-trained by simulation-based reinforcement learning.
