Damian Plichta

I received an opportunity to use my mostly theoretical knowledge in practice while working on Kombigas project. From the beginning I became responsible for double stage fermentation system for production of hydrogen and methane and for monitoring of the progress in this process. I had also a chance to hone my laboratory skills during basic substrate analysis (TS, VS), HPLC, GC usage and Weender-Analysis. In my opinion the best thing in this internship, apart from learning a lot, was the fact that I was being treated like a normal employee. Of course, I received a lot of support but I was encouraged to work independently too and I knew that when discussing something my opinion was always important and respected by my colleagues.
