PROFACTOR researches and develops at two facilities in Steyr and Seibersdorf.

PROFACTOR GmbH with head offices in Steyr is a limited company. The Society for the Promotion and Modernization of Production Technology in Austria (Vereinigung zur Förderung der Modernisierung der Produktionstechnologie in Österreich or VPTÖ for short) owns 94 percent of PROFACTOR GmbH. The other 6 percent are owned by DI Friedrich Mader and Mag. Andrea Moeslinger, the managers of the company.

PROFACTOR Research and Solutions GmbH is based in Seibersdorf. It is a 70 percent subsidiary of PROFACTOR GmbH. The management of PROFACTOR GmbH owns a share of 30 percent of the company.
