Development of Machine and Processing Concepts

PROFACTOR develops components for micro-machining machines, for example as part of “LAUNCH MICRO”. The goal was to adapt machine tools to the requirements of micro-machining. To do this, PROFACTOR tackled weight optimisation to increase the dynamics of micro-machining machines. With the help of the finite element method (FEM), it was even possible to drastically reduce the weight of the systems by up to 30 percent while slightly increasing the rigidity.
