Industrial Thermography with Automation Potential
Practice has shown that a considerable number of thermographic applications can be successfully implemented in industrial production. The main application is automatic monitoring of quality in production. The innovative thermographic inspection system from the PROFACTOR Group is suitable for use in industry or for contract measuring. The range of applications extends from crack detection and coat thickness measurements up to monitoring systems for inspection of the joint connection quality. The industrial thermograph makes an ideal inspection solution because it can inspect continuously moving objects. Production Environment
Typical applications:
- Detection of cracks, pores, cavities, inclusions
- Joint quality assessment, e.g. for weld seams
- Delamination, adhesive properties
- Layer thickness measurement, e.g. for paint coats or protective layers
- Measuring temperature distribution (temporal, spatial)
- Measurement of material properties, e.g. thermometric conductivity spatially resolved
Our Products and Services
Consulting, feasibility, simulation, development and building of innovative thermographic inspection systems for industrial deployment or contract measuring
- for non-destructive material and component testing
- for quality assurance and process control
- for controlling and monitoring manufacturing processes and plant components
Our Main Applications
-
Detection of cracks, pores, blow-outs, inclusions
Cracks, pores, cavities, inclusions etc. are detected in real time on and below the surface.
Delamination, adhesive properties
Thermography can identify errors in the border layers between two materials joined by gluing, soldering, welding etc. -
Layer thickness measurement
Layer thicknesses can be determined by measuring the distribution of heat over time (e.g. for determining the thickness of coats and or protective layers, etc.) -
Measuring temperature distribution (temporal, spatial)
The thermo-camera supports both spatial and temporal identification of the temperature distribution for an object.
Spatial identification serves to discover anomalies in an object while temporal identification can detect fast temperature changes. -
