Individual gold microstructures: individually produced gold microstructures for biomedical and analytical applications

Biocompatibility is a basic requirement of a substrate for bio-analytical applications. Gold is best suited to meet the characteristics needed for the combination of nanostructuring and biophysics.

For this reason, we produce large-scale microstructures on new substrates for biomedical, physical, and chemical applications in order to facilitate time and cost-efficient test series with the best quality. The tests are reproducible and the L189-DL substrate is suitable for a cleanroom.

The breadth of possible applications ranges from micro and macro-biological analyses and applications as well as diagnosis purposes and pharmaceutics up to tests with vaccinations and future applications.

After the structures have been produced individually, different substrates can be selected like glass, Si, Cr/Ti etc. for example, and the structures can be designed in any way, limited only by a minimum dot diameter of 1 micrometre.
