Gas Treatment for Alternative Use of Bio-methane

Feeding biogas into the natural gas network is an alternative to conventional feeding into a CHP power plant. Through decentralised in-feeding and central removal, it is possible to supply inner-city petrol stations and gas customers with CO2-neutral bio-methane. In addition, it is possible to provide combined heat and power, where heat is needed.

Fuel Cell – Key Technology of Future Energy Systems

Biogas is not only suitable to be fed into the natural gas network, but it can also be used as an energy source for fuel cells. High electrical efficiency with disappearing emissions make the fuel cell into a key technology for future energy systems. Availability through energy production in decentralised biogas fuel cell systems, as well as greater independence from energy imports is especially interesting to system operators.

Before biogas can be fed into the natural gas network or put into a fuel cell, the energy source must be treated. The processes developed by PROFACTOR are adapted to the requirements of the respective facility or system. All services are covered, from the analysis of the gas quality, the technical and financial feasibility, right up to selection of the individual components needed for the implementation.
